Puhinui Yards is zoned Light Industry under the Auckland Council Unitary Plan (operative in part). 

 

Puhinui Yards’ flexible zoning allows for a variety of industrial activities, providing businesses with the freedom to pursue their operational objectives without constraints. This zone provides for light industrial activities that do not generate objectionable odour, dust or noise emissions. 

 

This includes light manufacturing, production, logistics, storage, transport and distribution activities. Due to the industrial nature of the zone, activities that generate air discharges are generally not provided for.

The yard areas comprise three blocks defined by the roading network. These three blocks range from 4.8ha to 10.56ha. A total of over 22.4ha are available over these three lots. A further 7.6ha is potential available at a future date.
